TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Genuine Auto Parts operates as part of the Reach Auto Parts group, and the terms below reflect the same standards of transparency and accountability upheld across our network.
1. Payment Authorization
By signing this form, you're giving Genuine Auto Parts permission to charge the credit or debit card listed above for the total amount noted on this document.
You also acknowledge that any information submitted which is incomplete, incorrect, illegible, or missing may slow down order processing or shipment. Genuine Auto Parts cannot be held responsible for delays that stem from information errors on the customer's end.
2. Shipping Terms
The following applies to every shipment processed through Genuine Auto Parts:
Delivery and shipping fees charged at purchase are non-refundable, without exception.
Once a package has been handed off to and accepted by the carrier, Genuine Auto Parts is not liable for delivery delays caused by that carrier.
Genuine Auto Parts holds no responsibility for loss, theft, damage, or transit delays after the shipment leaves our hands and enters carrier custody.
Any damage claims must be filed directly with the shipping carrier. Genuine Auto Parts can help document such claims where reasonably possible.
3. Part Verification & Customer Sign-Off
We aim to be upfront about the condition of every used or pre-owned part we sell. Here's how the verification process works:
Genuine Auto Parts may, at its discretion, send photos of the part before it ships.
Reviewing and approving those photos means you're accepting the part in the condition shown.
Once approved, Genuine Auto Parts is not liable for:
Wrong parts ordered due to customer error
Orders placed under incorrect specifications provided by the customer
Fitment problems arising from vehicle details the customer supplied
Any type of ordering mistake made by the customer
Dissatisfaction with a condition that was already disclosed and approved beforehand
Once a customer has given written or documented approval, the sale is considered final with regard to part condition.
4. Warranty Terms
Where a part comes with warranty coverage, the following rules apply in full.
What's Required to File a Warranty Claim
A valid claim needs all of the following:
A clear video showing the specific defect or failure
Visual proof of the part installed in the vehicle
Vehicle details — year, make, model, and engine size (where relevant)
A clear, specific description of the issue
IMPORTANT: NO VIDEO = NO CLAIM. Video documentation is required for every warranty claim, with no exceptions. Claims submitted without it will be automatically denied.
5. What Warranty Coverage Doesn't Include
Genuine Auto Parts warranty coverage applies only to defects that existed in the part at the time of sale. The following are never covered or reimbursed:
Labor charges of any kind
Diagnostic or inspection fees
Installation costs
Removal costs
Towing or roadside assistance
Rental vehicle costs
Lost income or earnings
Loss of vehicle use
Any incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages tied to the part's use or failure
Genuine Auto Parts retains full discretion to inspect the part and decide whether a replacement or refund applies under these warranty terms.
6. Return Requirements
Returns must meet every condition below, or they'll be rejected:
Written authorization from Genuine Auto Parts is required before shipping anything back — unauthorized returns won't be accepted.
Parts must be returned uninstalled, unaltered, and in original condition.
Packaging must match how the part was originally shipped to you.
All original documents — invoice, packing slip, correspondence — must be included with the return.
Returns must be shipped via UPS or another carrier Genuine Auto Parts has approved, unless a different carrier is authorized in writing.
Returns must reach us within 10 business days of delivery to qualify for a refund. Note: original shipping cost, state tax, and a 4% transaction fee are non-refundable, and return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
Disassembling a part without prior notice voids the warranty and cancels refund eligibility.
7. Restocking Fee
A 35% restocking fee, plus any shipping costs Genuine Auto Parts incurred, applies to returns that aren't the result of a company error. This includes, but isn't limited to:
Customer ordered the wrong part
Part is no longer needed
Vehicle was sold before the part was installed
Part was never installed
Customer simply changed their mind
Genuine Auto Parts alone determines whether a return qualifies as a company error and is therefore exempt from this fee.
8. How Replacement or Refund Decisions Are Made
If a part is confirmed defective and the warranty claim checks out, Genuine Auto Parts must be given the chance to inspect, replace, or reassess the part before any refund is issued.
All final decisions on replacement or refund rest solely with Genuine Auto Parts, based on the outcome of that inspection. By agreeing to these terms, the customer accepts that determination as final.
